Rep. George Miller, D-CA, offered a motion to instruct House-Senate conferees to the pension bill that the final bill should include provisions that corporate executives are subject
to the same rules as employees for pension purposes. Executives, for example, could not take lump sum payments when such payments were not available to employees. The motion passed.
