H.R. 2052--Sudan Peace Act.

The House passed the Sudan Peace Act (H.R. 2052), was introduced by Rep. Tom Tancredo (R-CO) to facilitate famine relief efforts and a comprehensive solution to the war in Sudan. It included an amendment, which passed by voice vote, that would prohibit any company profiting from oil or gas in Sudan from raising capital in the U.S. or trading its securities in U.S. capital markets.

Final passage of legislation introduced by Congressman T. Tancredo (R-CO) to support relief programs and condemn human rights abuses in Sudan. Would also require companies trading securities in the U.S. to disclose their Sudan operations in filings with the SEC. The legislation passed.
