Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act of 2001.
This bill would change the bankruptcy law, and enhance the ability of credit card companies and other creditors to collect debts while reducing the ability of individuals to reorganize their finances. In addition, the ability of women to collect child support from bankrupt debtors would be harder.
