Human Cloning Prohibition Act of 2001--Final Passage.

The House passed the Human Cloning Prohibition Act, introduced by Reps. Dave Weldon (R-FL) and Bart Stupak (D-MI). It would ban all cloning of human embryos, both for pregnancy and for research and experimentation. It would NOT ban stem cell research or the cloning of tissues or animals.
