Tom Tancredo (R-CO) introduced an amendment to the Foreign Relations Authorization Act (H.R. 1646) to strike language in the bill that directed the President to rejoin the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and strike language authorizing payment of U.S. assessed contribution to UNESCO. Amendment failed.
