HR 2810 Wasteful Military Spending.

The Congressman Ken Buck (R-CO) amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act requires the Department of Defense to complete a cost effectiveness analysis ensuring that the Department of Defense does not purchase alternative fuels unless they are as cost effective as traditional fuels. This group opposes wasting millions of taxpayer dollars on expensive fuel to carry out a politicized global warming agenda and supported this amendment. The House defeated the amendment.

Fiscal 2018 Defense Authorization -- Alternative Energy Qualification Requirement.

Buck, R-Colo., amendment that would prohibit funds authorized by the bill from being used by the Defense Department to purchase alternative energy unless such energy is equivalent in its cost and capabilities to conventional energy. The bill would require the Defense Department to complete a cost competitiveness calculation in order to determine the cost and capabilities of such energy sources.
