The House finally approved the sweeping health care reform legislation that had been approved by the Senate at the end of 2009, sending this landmark bill to President Obama for his signature. The Senate subsequently took up a bill that contained a number of critically important corrections to the health care reform law. Senate Republicans immediately offered an amendment to repeal the new health care law and to roll back the clock on health care reform.
